The Perfect Timing….

One of the biggest mistakes we make as believers is that we fail to remember that God’s timing rarely matches our timing. We think and plan in temporal terms, and God thinks and plans in eternal terms. What this means is we are very interested in right now, and God is interested in the long term. We want what God feels right now, what produces immediate results, but God is willing to be patient and deliberate as He invests in us over a period of time to produce results far better and longer lasting than we can imagine.

Just as our children try to talk us into giving them what they want right away, we often try to talk God into immediately giving us what we want. He loves us even more than we love our children and He loves us too much to hastily give in to our pleadings. He knows something born prematurely might struggle to survive, so He waits until He knows everything is properly prepared for the arrival of our dream.

He sees what we do not see and understands what we do not understand. He asks us to put aside our natural tendencies to want to figure out what should happen in our lives and when it should happen. It’s a tough one but it’s the best for us. He wants us to resist the urge to “help” Him accomplish His divine purpose with our human reasoning and with fleshy efforts. He also desires us to stop being frustrated because things do not go according to our plan, and instead relax, enjoy the ride and trust He is working everything according to His perfect timing and the wisdom of his plan.

#God does not only plan for our lives, He also knows the perfect timing for each aspect of those plans….#Woke up with these thoughts.

  1. Nice post again, timing it could be a philosopher stone to the human beings in the time we’re running could running in a downhill , stress and more diseases and timing…I’ve heard lots of conversations between elders about if I had time to… our societies no timing to real life and only wasting time to buy and false creed.

  2. I love that his timing isn’t our timing. I can only speak for myself, but he always shows up just when I need him. Even in my darkest moments of depression and many times I have doubted him he’s right there. He has kept me safe from some awful things and he’s a shining star when I can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. He has always had my best interests at heart. He’s an awesome God. Even though I have doubted him and still do God has been there for me. I love his timing even if at the moment I don’t love it. I love it because his timing has helped me through some of the shitty times in my life. We need to trust his timing more. It’s easier said than done. Thanks for sharing this beautiful truth. Love you girl!!!

    1. Love you too my darling. And yes, it’s easier said than done. Sometimes I feel like running but at that time God keeps saying “walk my child, walk”. It’s not always easy waiting on the Lord but the good news he always comes through with every of his promises.

  3. Thank you for the reminder of God’s perfect timing! It gets to be hard sometimes, me being a single and desiring marriage, but I trust that He knows better than me and will continue to take those thoughts captive!

    1. You are not alone and yes He does know better. God loves you very much and he is working out the best for you. He is also preparing the perfect match for you who will be a perfect reflection of his love for you. His ways are mysterious but his words are certain and truth. He always comes through with any promises he makes. Hang in there my dear, it’s only but for a little while. Thank you for dropping by and sharing with us. God bless you
