A short script of how the circle of Infidelity keeps expanding and how we keep getting caught up in it…
Jasmine posts a photo of herself on Facebook. A hundred men commented, all flattering her. She ignores their compliments and silently hopes that she’ll get a notification informing her that Chase has commented on her photo.
Chase is on the phone, trying desperately to get through to Maya … his love. He has called her fifteen times already, but she has not answered. His heart pounds. He needs to hear her voice, like a crack addict and his substance.
Maya is in Dave’s house for the weekend, doing the dishes. She intentionally ignores Chase’s calls. She doesn’t want to deal with the drama of lying about her location.
Dave is at the ATM. He has to transfer funds to Samantha . She had asked him for money to buy a new phone. He had promised to send it that afternoon. He can’t afford to look bad before his crush. He told Maya he had to get something from his boss, so he left her at his place.
Samantha is on the phone with Denzel. She’s trying to calm him down. He told her he needed some money to complete his little brother’s hospital bill. She is assuring him that she’ll get some money shortly, and send it to him. She was waiting for Dave to transfer the money.
Morgan’s palms are sweaty. His heart is racing. His mind is clouded with thoughts. “How could he not have used protection, he thought to himself”, “she is supposed to be on birth control pills”. He has to send the money to Naomi so she could go ahead and have the abortion. He just got off the phone with Samantha and she promised to send the money shortly.
Naomi is slipping into depression. She is sitting in the hospital restroom staring at the poison she’s holding. Her wedding is in a week. Now, she understands this is wrong and the guilt is killing her. Her fiancé had not touched her in months. How could she explain her way out of this mess.
She thinks of Micheal, her fiancé. Then she thinks of her mother, and her head almost explodes from pain. Morgan has to send the money or she’ll end her life, she thought to herself.
It been five minutes since Micheal wrote “My beautiful princess. Looking astonishingly beautiful” on Jasmine’s photo on Facebook.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts but in my own opinion I believe it can be broken, if we make frantic efforts daily to be truthful to ourselves. It will only be a matter of time before we apply it to the lives of those around us.
It’s very thoughtful of you to drop by.

U have a good point but expecting everybody to be reasonable is kinda unrealistic. It’s like when an individual chooses to live recklessly and dies,he fails to realise that a single death affects hundreds.
1 death is a loss to his banker, recharge card seller, his dependents etc

What an amazing post! My first reading, I got lost and couldn’t quite figure out what was what…but then I realized that I wasn’t paying attention to what I was reading. I read it again and the again. It’s really quite amazing.
You’re an excellent writer, Whitney. Not only do you get your point across, but you do it so well. This could be a novel. And a very good one I think. Have you considered something like that to get your message across?

Thank you Paul for your kind words. Its been quite a while and I’m truly glad to have you here. I have considered that line of action but time won’t just wait for me and it seems 24 hrs isn’t just enough.
That notwithstanding, it’s part of my long term goals and I will make it happen someday.
I’m not there yet but I am open to new ideas and still a work in progress. Thank you very Paul. I truly appreciate it.

That’s true. The circle just never ends, but it’s how you deal with this and how you react to things that make the biggest difference. Beautiful post. I love the picture as well. It’s just beautiful.

It never ends and you are right; it’s the way we deal this and react to events that truly makes the difference.
It’s always a pleasure to have you here.
