Just Thoughts… #18

He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed……… —Isaiah 53:5-6

Oh my!

I don’t know how Jesus could stand up under its weight. He had my sin, your sin, our sin. He allowed it to be placed upon him so that we would not have to bear the consequences of it all.

And guess what? Even in that sacrifice, as horrible as it was, we find ourselves healed — cured of the most awful disease a person can have, a sin-sick soul. He was pierced, crushed, and punished for our sins. In their place, he has left us his transforming peace and a place to belong.

This is simply… Amazing! Happy Easter everyone! You are loved!

  2. Jesus lived, died, and rose again in three days! God the Father robbed the grave, and His Son now sits at His right hand. Nobody can take the place of Jesus Christ! His sacrifice was indescribable. He bore a cross and He now wears a beautiful crown of glory. Our Savior, who invites us to come to Him as we are.

    1. My dear this is lovely. What greater love has any man than He? For he gave up his life friends including you and I who didn’t deserve it.
Thank you very much for sharing. Blessings to you and yours now and always.
      Happy Easter 💕
