Starting Over

There are two reasons why people change. First, they’ve been hurt too much and second, they’ve learned a lot.

Nothing can be scarier than the thought of losing and having to start all over again, over something you know you gave your best shot right? Definitely! But we shouldn’t be so scared to start over again, for it simply means life is giving us the opportunity to take new steps and truly rebuild what we want. Everyone wants happiness, sunshine, success and even some rainfall but we cannot have the rainbow without the rain, can we? It’s OK to start again.

To you, the world is desolate, dull, and empty. To another, the same world looks rich, interesting, and full of meaning. “Eyes that looks are common but eyes that see are rare”-J.Oswald Sander. You can never see the sunrise by looking to the west, no matter how much you look. New things can’t come if you can not let go of the old. Letting go isn’t easy but hanging on is suicidal.

If you continue to look at life the wrong way, there would always be cause for alarm. The same way a twenty dollar bill can look so big when it goes to church is the same way it looks so small when it goes for groceries. What you see depends largely on what you look at and how you look at it. Some people complain of roses having thorns but if you look at it closely, those thorns are protections for the roses.

One of the greatest and most comforting truths is that when one door closes another opens, but regretfully, we look upon the closed door for so long that we do not see the one that is open for us.”

Starting over in life means you are willing to let go of what isn’t working or what’s holding you back. It doesn’t necessarily mean you have to hate who hurt you, or what’s hurting you. It simply means you are ready to create the life you want, with whosoever you are pleased with. While you are starting over, be sure to create attainable and realistic goals, surround yourself with people who believe and brings out the best in you. Avoid the wrong crowd!

Acknowledge your emotions and be sure to make sure they don’t influence your future decisions when you try to express them. Forgive yourself and all those who may have hurt you. Take a leap of faith and Start Over today!

Love and Blessings ❤️❤️

  1. Nice entry again and a thing is sure our lives are a battle in a wondrous landscape if you aren’t a loser sometimes… you lost the flavor of life and bittersweet is a nice flavor of moment… enjoy and fighting again… we’re human beings 👍👍👍👍😋😋😋

  2. Wherever you are in life make the most of it and be the best you can be.
    Sometimes it means starting over.
Perspective and perception plays a major role in the decisions we make.
Sadly at times those decisions aren’t based in reality and fear creeps in and paralyzed us.
Thanks for reminding us that it’s okay to let go and move on.

3.’s weird that people like flowers then complain about the rain 🤔 people want a “better good looking life” but they complain about the struggle to get there and have one. We create our own reality and being afraid to start over is rearing down the road that everybody takes, a road that probably wasn’t meant for us, we unknowingly changed the outcome of our reality because we chose 6to take the easy way. Take the road less traveled..don’t shift your reality, nothing “better looking” looks that over night. Peace and Blessings to you ❤

    1. Hi Seven, Humans are indeed walking contradictions. The more you try to understand why they complain about what they wished for, the more confused you get.
Thanks a lot for reading through and agreeing with the post.

  4. I used to look at this and say that it was bad to start over. I have hurt a lot and I have learned a lot. I think sometimes the reason I go through the hurtful/painful stuff is because someone is coming my way that is going to need exactly what God is bringing me through. I’ve seen this happen in my life recently and I truly believe it now I’ve seen it for myself. It’s amazing huh? I agree. Starting over is not bad. It’s a chance to learn more and experience more. Someone may need what you are going to learn when you start over. Awesome piece. I love this. So true and so beautiful just like you.

      1. I’m glad to hear and “see” you smile. You’re right it’s not easy. It’s not easy at all. I think it’s important that we do start over. Starting over is necessary because it’s a fresh start. It’s a chance to grown. Yes there’s good in saying goodbye. It’s good to let things go. It’s not easy to let them go, but we have to in order to grow.

  5. Starting over is so hard. This is a good word about resetting our focus and moving on. I have been the one who has looked at that shut door for too long and missed the open one. I learned through this to stop dwelling on what was and leap toward what can be 😊. Change is difficult (especially for me), but it is also necessary for growth. Thanks for sharing this!

    1. You’re welcome. I have finally realised that I have to just learn from the past and know that change isn’t always a bad thing even if it hurts sometimes.
Thanks for reading through and agreeing with the post.❤
