Morning Digest!

Some of the worst lies are the ones we tell ourselves and end up believing. And another thought: a liar’s biggest problem is they can’t believe anybody else, because how you live your life is how you judge your neighbour. So if you have a problem telling the truth, pray, Deliver my soul…Lord, from lying lips, and…a deceitful tongue’ or better yet, think twice about that lie and how much it’s going to affect you and the person listening.

When you deliberately and constantly create a false impression, you are dealing in falsehood…error, deception, cheating. That may sound harsh, especially if all you had in mind was making an extra dollar, sparing someone’s feelings, or trying to make yourself look better.

Righteousness isn’t what you do when everyone is watching, that’s eye service. Righteousness is what you do when no one is watching when you are behind closed doors when you sign that check and not add extra zeros, when you say you care and mean without being selfish about it.

Having a rough morning? Place your hand over your heart. Feel that? That’s called purpose. You’re alive for a reason. Don’t give up and don’t tell that lie today!
