Start With What You Have; Don’t Wait On What You Don’t Have

You already have been given what you need to begin to create your future. Don’t find yourself saying,” if only I had this…if only this were different…if only I had more money…then I could do more and could do what I am supposed to do”. People constantly overstate the importance of things they don’t have and pay less attention to what they have.

What you can do now is the only influence you have over your future. No one can be happy until he has learned to enjoy what he has and not worry over what he doesn’t have. True greatness lies in the tendencies of being great in little things.

Everything great begins with something insignificant. The great people in the Bible were faithful in the small things. Never let what you think you can’t do keep you from doing what you can do. Prolonged idleness paralysed initiatives, to the hesitant mind everything is impossible because it seems so.

Do not wait for special circumstances to act; use ordinary situations. We don’t need more strength, ability, or opportunity. Use what you have. We’ve got to row with the oars will have been given. There is power in taking small steps. Many people are not moving with God today simply because they have not been willing to take the small steps he has placed before them.

If you feel led to go into a particular area, you should leap at an opportunity no matter how small, to move in the direction in which the Lord has directed you. Don’t be afraid to take small steps. Most times, the impossible is simply untried.

It is right to be content with what you have, but never with what you are. Happiness will never come to those who fail to appreciate what they already have. Stop making the mistake of looking too far ahead and lose the blessings of the things nearby.

You can never get much of anything accomplished unless you go ahead and do it before everything is ideal. No one ever made a success of anything by simply waiting for conditions to be ” just right”. If you wait for perfect conditions you will never get anything done.

Live this German proverb: Grow where you are planted. Begin to weave and God will give the thread.

Start now! Have a good evening.

Love and Blessings ❤❤

    1. I agree with this with you, David. The best things in life usually come disguised and cheap and get ignored.
We’ve got to be realistic and seize our moments rather than wait on what we don’t have and may never have.
This is great David, thanks a lot for commenting.
      Have a good evening.
