Everything big starts with something small. Nothing great is created suddenly. Nothing can be done except little by little. Never decide to do nothing just because you can only do something. People who think they are too big to do little things are perhaps too little to be asked to do big things. Small opportunities are often the beginning of great enterprises.
The truth is within a little thing lies a big opportunity. Small things make a big difference; therefore, do all that it takes to be successful in little things. One of the most frequent prayers I pray is, Lord, send small opportunities into my life. I know that if I am faithful in the small things, bigger opportunities will open up to me. It’s a simple prayer but it means a lot to me. It keeps me focus and reminds me that most great things start small each time I try to get over myself.
When we are faithful in those small opportunities, God says to us, You have been faithful in handling this small amount..so no I will give you many more responsibilities. Begin the joyous tasks I have assigned to you.- Mathew 25:21 TLB
I’ve learned you will never do great things if you can’t do small things in a great way. All difficult things have their beginning in that which is easy, and great things in that which is small. One of the major differences between people who have momentum and those who don’t is that those with momentum are growing by taking advantage of small opportunities.
The impossible most of the time is simply the untried. Here is some of the best advice I’ve been given: ” Whitney, try it! Do something!” The courage to begin is the same courage it takes to succeed. This is the courage that usually separates dreamers from achievers.
I love Robert Schuller’s word, ” Winning Starts With Beginning”. The beginning is the most important part of any endeavour. Worse than a quitter is anyone who is afraid to begin. Ninety per cent of success is showing up and starting. You may be disappointed if you fail but you are doomed if you don’t try.
Don’t be deceived my lovely fans: Knowledge alone of where you want to go can never be a substitute for putting one foot in front of the other. Discover step by step excitement. To win, you must first begin! The first is the hardest. “That’s why many fail because they don’t get started- they don’t go. They don’t overcome inertia. They don’t begin” ( W. Clement Stone).
Don’t be discouraged. Little steps add up, and they add up rapidly. Dare to begin today no matter how little it may appear. I want you to know if God has allowed you to get this far, he won’t leave you nor forsake you now. He alone knows what you truly deserve and he alone can bless you.
No endeavour is worse than that which is not attempted. You don’t know what you can do until you have tried. People, like trees, must grow or wither. There’s no standing still.
Do what you can today!
Love you guys

I’m not a believer of any sort or anything in the particular, but it is not the result of a mother not trying her best to instill, indoctrinate and exemplify what it means to be a believer. As a child, every night at bedtime we said our prayers.
The first one was an abbreviated form of the 23rd Psalm, the second was the Lord’s prayer and the last one was, “Lord, help me to live from day to day in such a self-forgetful way that even when I kneel to pray my prayers shall be for others”

That’s a great prayer Galtz, selfless and pure. Life has taught me not to always go where the path may lead, instead go where there is no path and leave a trail.
Thanks, Galtz for sharing. I’m glad you stopped by and read through.
Have a good evening.❤

I have this kind of thought when I walk up the stairs in my school. From the bottom, the stairs look intimidating but I just patiently walk one stair at a time and suddenly, I’m at the top. When I just give a little energy to the small steps, I can look back and realize that I’ve achieved a lot. 😊

Beautiful analogy Grace. It can be related to all spheres of life. Reminds me of a wise saying: “We all have a choice when it comes to taking that next big step. We can either throw in the towel or we can use it to wipe the sweat off our faces when the journey begins.
Thank you, Grace, for sharing this beautiful piece with us.
God bless you.
