Be Very Intentional About The Image You Present!…

Hello everyone! The quickest way to get noticed is to do good works that others can’t help but notice it. There’s a saying that all press is good press, that means it’s better to have people talking about you than noticing you at all, even if they’re saying bad things.

Someone once said, “When you’re a celebrity you get compensated for bad behaviour with an endorsement deal, TV shows etc”. This doesn’t happen in the real world. When you do something, bad people don’t give you an endorsement deal. You may get celebrated by phonies like you but the negative stigma attached to you will never go away. People’s mindset about you won’t get changed for a lifetime.

Don’t be a magnet for drama. Be on top of your game! If you don’t know what you’re talking about, stay quiet until you get your facts right. Be very intentional about the image you present. Protect it. Polish it. Then present it. You may never get a second chance to make it right.

While you want to be intentional about communicating your progress and strong ideas, be quiet when it comes to sharing the details of your personal business or private office matters. Tune in to what’s going on around you, but don’t get sucked into negatives or make wrong judgement calls. If you do, you may eventually find yourself on the wrong side.

If someone gossips about you to others, you can be sure they will gossip to others about you. Gossip can backfire, so make a decision not to participate.

I once heard a man say, ” I can’t be nice. Nice is bland”. To a large extent, he’s right. I choose to be kind rather than be nice. Nice is often not even authentic, and people and people notice that. So, focus on being kind and gracious to people.

Being full of yourself, arrogant, disrespectful, or obnoxious may get your point across, but you’ll eventually pay the price in the long run. As a teacher and counsellor, I’ve discovered that the great strengths of leaders are love and compassion. This may be in part because we feel close to and trusting of those with such qualities.

Do you want to be on top of your game? Stand out, be bold in your own unique way. You don’t have to follow the crowd. If you do, soon the crowd and the opportunities will come following.

Love you all. Have a great week ahead.

Love and Success
