I’ve discovered that God likes to perform his greatest feasts in our today and not in our yesterday. He likes to outdo himself. I say he’s a great master-craft and those who genuinely serve him adore his piece all the time, and to those who don’t know him, they just can’t comprehend and prefer to call him a show-off.
He wants to show his favors in your life in greater ways today than he did yesterday. He wants you to be more blessed tomorrow than you are today. He intends for you to have a greater impact on the world than you have had. That means if you’re a teacher or an educator, you haven’t taught your best lessons yet.
If you’re a builder, you haven’t built your best home yet. If you’re a businessperson, you haven’t negotiated your best deal yet. If you’re a writer, you haven’t written your award-winning piece yet. It’s time to get your hopes up. You may say, “Whitney, it’s hard. You don’t understand. I don’t know if God will come through for me”.
Guess what? He will! So, get your hopes up, enlarge your visions, and get ready for the new things that God has on the horizon. Your best days are not behind you my dear. They’re in front of you. Quit sulking, dust your boots and get ready for the next glorious ride of your life.
But if this is going to happen, you have to keep pressing forward, stretching yourselves. Get rid of low expectations. Don’t make little plans for your life. Don’t have little dreams. Don’t go around thinking, ” I’m not lucky. I’m never on time for anything. Everybody gets good breaks except me. I’ve reached my limits. I’ll probably never get the right job for me. I’ll probably never get the promotion that I deserve. I’m not so talented as others”.
No, get rid of that defeated mindset. You are a child of the Most High God. He has breathed his life into you. He planted seeds of greatness in you, regardless of what anyone thinks or says that are contrary. You have everything you need to fulfill your God-given destiny.
God has already put in the talent, the creativity, the discipline, the wisdom, and the determination. It’s all in you. You are full of potential. But you have to do your part by tapping into it. You have to make better use of the gifts and talents that God has given you.
You have something to offer that nobody else has. You just didn’t show up on planet earth by accident. You were handpicked by Almighty God. He saw you before you were formed in your mother’s womb and placed you here for a reason. You have an assignment. There’s something that God wants you to accomplish. Somebody needs your love, your touch, your smile, your hug, etc. Somebody needs what you have.
Don’t live with that treasure in you undiscovered. And, don’t die with it. Press forward. Give birth to that dream you’ve been carrying. The contractions and labor pains may be unbearable, the joy that comes after the birth will compliment it all. See to it that your dreams are born.
Start believing you have what it takes. You have to believe you have a gift, a treasure on the inside. People may have tried to push you down. Circumstances may have soured your outlook on life. Maybe you’ve tried to succeed in life but have hit a brick wall again and again. Try again!
Somebody may have told “no” a thousand times; ask again. Keep asking until you get the “yes” that you’ve been waiting to hear. You’ve got to keep pressing.
Blessings and Love
Lovely week ahead to us all
