The Perfect Year…

But be ready to get out of your comfort zone if you want to be more than you were last year.

Two of our biggest fears are – failure and criticism. And they never completely go away. Do they? We can overcome them, but they’ll show up when we are faced with the next challenge. It’s in accepting fear as part of life’s journey instead of running from it, that we learn to conquer it. Indeed, as we look back at what we’ve already overcome, we realise that most times failure didn’t do permanent damage, rather, we actually grew stronger through it.

If you’re anxious today, God is saying to you, ‘Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.’ So trust him, and get out of your comfort zone! Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.’ Isaiah 41:10 NLT. The year can and will only be perfect if we want it to. God has already done everything to make sure we excel and blossom this year, it’s all up to us to make the choice. Remember, He knows our today from yesterday. He promises to make all the lines to fall in pleasant places for us “Psalm 16:6”, “Isaiah 44:24-26”.

An unknown poet wrote: ‘I used to have a comfort zone where I knew I couldn’t fail; the same four walls of busywork were really more like jail. I longed so much to do the things I’d never done before, but stayed inside my comfort zone and paced the same old floor. I said it didn’t matter that I wasn’t doing much; I said I didn’t care for things like dreams and goals and such. I claimed to be so busy with the things inside my zone, but deep inside I longed for something special of my own.

I couldn’t let my life go by just watching others win; I held my breath and stepped outside and let the change begin. I took a step, and with new strength I’d never felt before, I kissed my comfort zone goodbye, then closed and locked the door. If you are in a comfort zone, afraid to venture out, remember that all winners were at one time filled with doubt.’

Happy New Year everyone and welcome to your year of perfection all around.😚😊😄💕💓💘

  1. As I write this, 2018 is still a couple of hours away here in Socal. If you are failing…you are not trying. I feel those who criticize are jealous, but if they are truly offering constructive criticism, then I should listen as there are more than one way to do things.
    New beginnings offer new adventures.
I wish you a wonderful new year.

    1. Thanks buddy, happy new year in advance. I love this line; if you are failing… You are not trying. For every 100th times we fail, life is showing us 100th better way to do it right next time. It all depends on how we choose to see it.
Happy bountiful year my friend. Keep soaring higher.

  2. Love reading your encouraging posts, Whitney.

You were spot on with this:

“God has already done everything to make sure we excel and blossom this year, it’s all up to us to make the choice.”

    Very well said!

  3. Comfort zone is like the word,so comforting. And I think it’s as a result of fear. You are afraid you might fail, you might not do well, it might not work out and all. This life is in such a way that staying in your comfort zone doesn’t cut it, you gotta do more. You are right about fear and criticism. I pray God helps us to strive to be better, overcome our fears and learn how to deal with criticism because they are all part of life.

    Thank you Whitney.

    1. Yes they all are. Until we take action to be, what we desire to be, we continue to be, what we are. The grace of God to do exceedingly well is ever available, all we need to do is tap into and from it every day.
Thanks dear for dropping by and contributing. I truly appreciate it. Happy a bountiful and fulfilling year.
